About the Role / Job Summary:

We are currently seeking dedicated support staff to work within our supported accommodation services on a flexible shift basis. The primary shift pattern is a 24-hour shift from 09:00 to 09:00 the following day, which includes a sleep-in period between 23:00 and 07:00. Additional cover may be required for day shifts and wake night shifts. Experience working with young people with complex needs, safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to work within a trauma-informed framework are beneficial. Reliability and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver person-centred support in accordance with Ofsted Quality Standards.
• Build trusting relationships and provide emotional and practical support.
• Promote independence through life skills development.
• Support access to education, training, and health services.
• Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of support and achievements.
• Participate in multi-agency meetings and collaborate with professionals.

Qualifications:

• Qualification in health and social care is beneficial.
• Experience in a similar support role is highly valued.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts.

Education Requirements:

• English O’ Level or GCSE.
• A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience working with young care experienced people.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles.
• Experience supporting young people with complex needs.
