About the Organisation

We are working with a well-established homelessness charity dedicated to ending homelessness across South West London and beyond.

Providing services including street outreach, assessment hubs, supported accommodation and tenancy support, the organisation takes a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to helping people move into safe, secure housing and achieve long-term stability and independence.

About the Role

We are looking for two Tenancy Support Workers to support individuals experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantages. You will work alongside clients to help them secure and maintain tenancies, whether within supported housing or the private rented sector, while developing the skills and confidence needed to live independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred, one-to-one support, helping clients secure accommodation, maintain tenancies and work towards independent living.
  • Manage a caseload, completing support plans, risk assessments and regular case reviews, while providing advice and crisis intervention where required.
  • Support with welfare benefits, housing benefits, budgeting and grant applications, liaising with relevant agencies where necessary.
  • Work alongside internal teams and external partner agencies, maintaining accurate case records and helping clients access specialist services.

About You

  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally within homelessness, housing support or supported accommodation.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, risk assessments and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships and engage individuals with complex needs.
  • A compassionate, resilient and solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage a caseload and work independently.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of the welfare benefits system and local homelessness services.
  • Experience supporting people affected by substance misuse or mental health challenges.
  • Familiarity with case management systems or rough sleeper databases such as CHAIN.
  • Experience using motivational interviewing or other person-centred support techniques
