Domestic Abuse Caseworker (Standard Risk)
Location: Aylesbury
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including occasional evening work) UNTIL 8PM
Salary: £15.90 PER HR
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31/03/2027
Benefits: Casual Car Allowance
Reporting to: Service/Refuge Manager

We are seeking an experienced Domestic Abuse Caseworker to provide high-quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse assessed as standard risk.

The successful candidate must have previous experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse and will provide trauma-informed, survivor-centred support to empower women and their children to improve safety, wellbeing, and independence.

You will manage a caseload of clients, complete risk and support assessments, develop safety plans, provide advocacy, and support survivors to access appropriate services including housing, benefits, legal advice, safeguarding support, and specialist agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive 1:1 support to survivors of domestic abuse.

  • Manage a caseload of standard-risk clients and complete risk assessments.

  • Develop personalised safety and support plans.

  • Provide practical support and advocacy around housing, benefits, legal options, and referrals.

  • Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies, including safeguarding partners.

  • Support clients through court processes and protective interventions where required.

  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.

  • Promote independence, resilience, and positive outcomes for survivors and their families.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working directly with domestic abuse survivors is essential.

  • Strong understanding of domestic abuse, safeguarding, risk management, and trauma-informed practice.

  • Experience managing a caseload and providing advocacy support.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with partner agencies.
