Housing & Support Assistant

Location: Slough (SL1)
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £19,995.02 per annum

We are recruiting for a Housing & Support Assistant to join a supported housing service, providing high-quality customer service and day-to-day support to residents. This is a varied, front-facing role where you will be the first point of contact, ensuring residents receive a welcoming, safe, and supportive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and external agencies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to enquiries professionally.
  • Carry out reception duties, including answering calls, managing mail, processing payments, and reporting repairs.
  • Conduct regular health & safety and wellbeing checks around the building.
  • Support residents by listening to concerns and reporting safeguarding or welfare issues where appropriate.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe environment, including emergency procedures and incident reporting.
  • Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver a high-quality housing service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housing, supported living, reception, or customer service.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with sensitive situations professionally.
  • A flexible approach to working rota shifts.
  • Right to work in the UK.
