Domestic Abuse Caseworker (Standard Risk)

We are seeking an experienced Domestic Abuse Caseworker to provide high-quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse assessed as standard risk.

The successful candidate must have previous experience working directly with domestic abuse survivors and be confident in delivering trauma-informed, survivor-centred support. You will manage a caseload of clients, complete risk assessments, develop safety plans, provide advocacy, and support survivors to access housing, legal advice, benefits, safeguarding services, and other specialist support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of standard-risk domestic abuse survivors.

  • Provide intensive 1:1 support, advocacy, and emotional support.

  • Complete risk assessments, support assessments, and safety plans.

  • Support clients with housing, benefits, legal options, and referrals.

  • Work closely with statutory and voluntary agencies to safeguard clients and children.

  • Maintain accurate case records and follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and GDPR procedures.

  • Empower survivors to build resilience, independence, and long-term safety.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse is essential.

  • Strong understanding of domestic abuse, safeguarding, risk management, and trauma-informed practice.

  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and multi-agency partners.

  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and case management skills.
