Construction Lecturer

Location: East Hampshire

Salary: £38 per hour

Contract: Full-Time

About the Role: As we lead into the 26/27 Academic year, we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Construction Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and inspire learners to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions in Construction.
  • Teach across a range of construction subjects, which may include Brickwork, Carpentry, Joinery, Multi-Skills, Building Technology, and Health & Safety.
  • Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
  • Monitor learner attendance, progress, and performance.
  • Develop learning resources and maintain accurate records in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Support learners with pastoral care and academic guidance.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain workshop environments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Construction or a related discipline.
  • Significant industry experience within the construction sector.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners from diverse backgrounds.

Desirable Requirements

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
  • Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience teaching or training within Further Education, Apprenticeships, or Adult Learning.
  • Knowledge of awarding body requirements and vocational qualifications.
