Are you passionate about supporting women affected by domestic abuse and complex needs and looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference?

We are currently recruiting for a Permanent, Full-Time Domestic Abuse Caseworker to support women across Birmingham through trauma informed, holistic support and advocacy.

The Role

As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will support women experiencing domestic abuse alongside a range of complex needs, helping them navigate the challenges they are facing and move towards greater safety and independence.

You will:

• Manage a caseload of women experiencing domestic abuse and complex needs.
• Provide 1:1 trauma-informed support, advocacy and practical advice.
• Complete assessments and develop individual support plans.
• Support women with safety planning and risk management.
• Attend MARACs, safeguarding meetings and appointments where required.
• Work closely with partner agencies and other professionals.
• Support women with issues including housing, benefits, mental health, substance misuse and other complex needs.
• Help women access appropriate specialist services and community support.
• Maintain accurate case records and monitor outcomes.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with the women you support.

About You

We are looking for someone who has experience working with vulnerable women, domestic abuse or complex needs and who is passionate about delivering person-centred support.

You will ideally have:

• Experience supporting women with complex or multiple needs.
• Experience within domestic abuse, safeguarding, social care, homelessness, mental health or a related support setting.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• A compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.
• The ability to manage a caseload and prioritise effectively.
• An understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• A willingness to learn and develop your specialist domestic abuse knowledge.
• DBS on Adult update Service – essential
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car – essential.
