Team Manager – Domestic Abuse Housing & Support Services

Salary: £31,888 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Position: Temp to Perm – Hybrid options available after probation period

DBS: Enhanced DBS required

Role: Women only community

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager, Senior Practitioner or experienced support professional to lead a dedicated team delivering trauma-informed, survivor-centred support to women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support your team, oversee service delivery, manage risk and safeguarding, develop partnerships and contribute to the continued improvement of accommodation-based services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support to women and children.
• Ensure support is tailored to individual needs, risks and strengths.
• Promote effective safeguarding, risk management and safe working practices.
• Line manage, support and motivate a team of Survivor Advocacy Support Workers.
• Provide regular supervision, reflective practice and case support.
• Support recruitment, induction and ongoing staff development.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies.
• Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and forums.
• Support service development, planning and continuous improvement.
• Oversee accurate data collection, recording and reporting.
• Support quality assurance and ensure services meet required standards.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing across the service.
• Ensure safeguarding and risk management procedures are consistently followed.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse or individuals with complex needs.
• Previous experience in a leadership, senior practitioner, supervisory or management role.
• Strong experience in safeguarding, risk assessment and case management.
• Experience working alongside partner agencies and within multi-agency settings.
• An understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children.
• Knowledge of homelessness, housing and support options available to women and children.
• Understanding of risk assessment processes such as DASH/MARAC.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and survivor-centred approaches.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly.
• A compassionate, non-judgemental and empowering approach.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in domestic abuse, social care or a related field is desirable.

Management training is desirable, or you should be willing to undertake this.
