🌟 Recovery Worker – 3 Month Temporary Cover

📍 Location: Coventry, CV1

⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week

📅 Contract: 3-month temporary cover

💷 Pay: £16-£22 per hour (Umbrella)

💷 Pay Rates – Dependent on Direct Recovery Experience

• Less than 12 months: £16-£18 per hour (Umbrella)
• 1-3 years: £18-£20 per hour (Umbrella)
• 3+ years: Up to £22 per hour (Umbrella)

💙 About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Worker to join a multi-disciplinary team, supporting service users throughout their treatment and recovery journey.

💼 Key Responsibilities

🤝 Support service users from initial engagement through to recovery.

📝 Complete screening, assessments, risk assessments and recovery plans.

🎯 Manage an allocated caseload and monitor service user progress.

💬 Use motivational interviewing and recovery-focused approaches.

🔗 Coordinate care and make appropriate onward referrals.

🌱 Promote recovery, resilience, independence and social reintegration.

🛡️ Provide harm-reduction advice, including overdose prevention and Naloxone support.

👥 Develop links with recovery, mutual-aid and community groups.

🩺 Work with prescribing clinicians, GPs, health services and partner agencies.

📊 Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality and safeguarding requirements.

📋 Experience Requirements

• Experience working within drug and alcohol, substance misuse or recovery services.
• Experience working with opiate users is required/preferred.
• Experience supporting vulnerable adults and managing a caseload.
• Experience with safeguarding, risk assessment and recovery planning.
• Direct recovery experience is preferred.
