Team Manager – Social Care / Domestic Abuse Service

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join a specialist service supporting vulnerable adults, children, and families.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established manager with a strong background in social care, safeguarding, and complex case management. The successful candidate will provide strong operational leadership, support the development of practitioners, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed services are delivered.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing within Children’s Services, including Child Protection (CP) teams and assessment services, alongside experience working with domestic abuse, court proceedings, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of practitioners, providing effective supervision, guidance, and support.

• Oversee complex safeguarding cases involving adults, children, and families.

• Ensure high standards of practice through quality assurance, case oversight, and performance management.

• Support practitioners working within Child Protection, assessment, and specialist support services.

• Provide leadership around risk management, safeguarding decisions, and case progression.

• Work collaboratively with partner agencies including social care, police, health, and other professionals.

• Support staff development through reflective supervision, coaching, and training.

• Contribute to service improvement and the continued development of operational practice.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager with a proven background in social care and safeguarding.

You will have:

• Experience managing teams within a Child Protection (CP) team, assessment service, or similar social care setting.

• Experience working within a domestic abuse service or supporting families affected by domestic abuse.

• Experience managing complex cases involving both adults and children.

• Experience supporting cases involving court proceedings and legal processes.

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and multi-agency working.

• Proven experience providing supervision, managing performance, and developing practitioners.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
