Are you an experienced Health & Social Care Lecturer looking for a new opportunity this September?

We are currently recruiting for temporary Health & Social Care Lecturers to join leading Further Education colleges across Essex. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to inspire learners, share industry expertise, and contribute to student success within a supportive FE environment.

The Role

You will deliver engaging and effective Health & Social Care lessons to FE students, supporting them to achieve their qualifications and progress into higher education or employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Health & Social Care programmes across Levels 1-5.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons.
• Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
• Support students’ academic achievement and personal development.
• Contribute to curriculum delivery and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.
• Previous teaching, training, or industry experience within Health & Social Care.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent) desirable.
• Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
