We are recruiting for the following position:

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Mainstream secondary school
  • London Borough of Hounslow
  • Immediate start
  • £500.00 per week PAYE salary

Our client school is based in the London Borough of Hounslow. With over 1,500 students on roll and a busy sixth form, the school offers a vibrant and welcoming environment to work in. Staff at the school work relentlessly to provide an inclusive setting for all students. The school has a consistently strong track record of recruiting Graduate Level Teaching Assistants into its team and we are looking for new candidates both for now and for September 2025.

What will you be doing in a typical day?

  • Using your subject area knowledge to offer academic support to students
  • Running small groups and workshops in order to boost grades within your specialist subject area
  • Working flexibly to provide academic support across a range of other subjects
  • Supporting SEND students in accessing the curriculum
  • Using positive strategies and good behaviour management to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students

What skills and attributes would serve you well in this role?

  • It is essential that you have a degree in any subject
  • Previous experience of working with young people is useful, although not essential
  • A calm and positive approach; along with the desire to learn and improve yourself each week in the role
