This post attracts a Market Supplement of £5000 per annum.

Through growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our Construction Department for new or experienced highly motivated Trainer Assessors. Applicants are invited from a Building Services Engineering (BSE) Electrical background ideally with experience of:

  • BSE Electrical Industrial/Commercial/Domestic Installations
  • BSE Electrical Testing & Inspection
  • Working in a team environment
  • Health & Safety in Construction

The core responsibilities of the role include delivering practical training and managing assessments in line with awarding organisation guidelines.  The students you will be responsible for will be drawn from full time, school provision, and adult evening groups.

The successful candidates will be required to undertake preparation as required to ensure the delivery of high-quality practical learning and assessments to all individuals.

Other duties will include undertaking planned and reactive maintenance including commissioning and de-commissioning of assessment areas as well as Health and Safety responsibilities commensurate with the post, plus procurement of goods and services in-line with the area’s requirements.

Applicants should ideally hold:

a relevant broad based Electrical level 3 qualification

Level 2 minimum qualification in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent).

Consideration will be given to applicants who hold a relevant Electrical Level 2 qualification who can demonstrate appropriate up to date industrial experience and a desire to develop.

Previous experience of working in a training environment or of working with young people is desirable but not essential as support is available for someone who can demonstrate commitment to developing others.
