Senior IT Project Manager – Estates and Infrastructure

South West London (4 Days Per Week on-site)

£49.5 – £58.5k

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of IT elements within major estates-related initiatives, including new buildings, refurbishments, and technology infrastructure upgrades, all aligned to the clients strategic goals.

As part of this specific team, you’ll work at the heart of cross-functional delivery, collaborating with Estates, IT Services, senior leadership, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless alignment between IT and Estates methodologies – including RIBA, ITIL, and both Waterfall and Agile delivery approaches.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT workstreams within major Estates programmes, ensuring delivery against project goals, budgets, and organisation-wide objectives.
  • Liaise with stakeholders from senior leadership to vendors, developing robust project plans and clearly defined IT specifications.
  • Ensure IT procurement, design, and implementation are aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work and IT governance.
  • Develop benefit realisation plans, manage risks, and ensure all services meet BAU readiness criteria.
  • Work closely with the ITS Service Delivery and Estates Service Management teams to ensure new services are operationally viable.
  • Support strategic decision-making through detailed reporting, project evaluation, and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Champion continuous service improvement and long-term value through the full project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience managing IT delivery within complex estates or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience working with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ideally in a matrix management structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, ensure compliance, and contribute to strategic IT planning.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadership and project boards.
  • Experience in aligning technical delivery with architectural and facilities design methodologies (e.g., RIBA).
  • Previous experience in public sector or similar large-scale, regulated environments is desirable.
