A Legal 500 Firm within area of law in the Top Tier, are looking to recruit a Risk & Compliance Manager for their Peterborough office. This firm offer a great working environment where they have recently moved to new modern offices. They have a great culture of friendly, collaborative professionals and have provided legal advice for nearly 100 years.

The Role

The role of Risk & Compliance Manager in Peterborough will be supporting the firm and COLP with the following:

· Advise on AML and support the firm’s MLRO

· Implement SRA obligations and policies

· Support the client on boarding team to ensure they are compliant to SRA and AML Regulations

· Supervise the firms’ audit programme

· Chair Risk and Compliance Committee

· Ensure fee earners complete Client and Matter risk assessments

The Candidate

The requirements for this Risk & Compliance Manager role based in Peterborough are as follows:

· Ideally a qualified solicitor/lawyer with risk & compliance experience within a Law Private Practice

· Experience with dealing with external stakeholders such as SRA, Legal Ombudsmen and other professional bodies

· Stakeholder management to ensure partners and fee earners adhere to compliance policies implemented

· Strong compliance knowledge with relation to SRA Handbook
