IT & Digital Manager

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Salary: £50,000 + Excellent Benefits

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We’re partnering with a national charity and social housing provider to recruit an IT & Digital Manager, a pivotal role leading the organisation’s digital transformation and ICT strategy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking IT professional to drive innovation, strengthen infrastructure, and implement cutting-edge solutions (including AI and cybersecurity) to support critical services that make a real difference across the UK.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Finance & ICT, you will take ownership of the charity’s IT and digital landscape, from strategic direction to day-to-day operational oversight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the organisation’s ICT and digital strategy
  • Managing IT systems, infrastructure, and third-party suppliers
  • Delivering digital transformation projects, including AI adoption
  • Ensuring data protection, GDPR compliance, and cybersecurity standards
  • Overseeing disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Supporting staff through training and digital enablement
  • Advising senior leadership on technology trends, risks, and future opportunities

This role is both strategic and hands-on – ideal for someone who enjoys leading change while staying close to the technology.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior ICT or digital leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security frameworks
  • Experience managing external IT providers and delivering IT projects
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments and modern networking tools
  • Awareness of AI trends and practical use in a charity or public sector context
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Values-driven, with a passion for making a social impact

Desirable: Degree in a relevant field and certifications such as ITIL or CompTIA Security+
