Are you a Homeless Housing Coordinator looking for work in North London?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in North London is looking to recruit a Homeless Housing Coordinator to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Homeless Housing Coordinator, you will provide specialist homelessness casework to households in need, ensuring that all casework is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, strategies, and policies at the national, regional, and local levels. You will play a key role in supporting vulnerable households through effective casework supervision, offering expert advice, guidance, and support.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Deliver specialist homelessness casework services to individuals and families, ensuring that cases are handled in line with housing legislation, strategies, policies, and initiatives at all levels.
  • Carry out regular casework supervision, providing advice and guidance to colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards in service delivery.
  • Manage a caseload of complex housing and homelessness cases, including assessments, applications, and the provision of housing options to prevent or relieve homelessness.
  • Work closely with external agencies, landlords, and internal departments to secure housing solutions and support for clients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of case records, meeting all legal and policy requirements, and provide regular updates and reports to management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and policies, ensuring that all casework is compliant with the Homelessness Reduction Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Offer tailored advice and support to vulnerable households on welfare benefits, training, employment opportunities, and wellbeing, helping them to improve their housing situation and prevent homelessness.
  • Engage in the development and implementation of homelessness prevention initiatives and strategies.
