This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Housing Advice and Homeless Prevention Officer, you will also play a crucial role in implementing homeless prevention initiatives to address the root causes of homelessness and promote housing stability.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Conduct comprehensive housing assessments and provide personalized advice and support to clients facing housing challenges, including eviction threats, rent arrears, and housing insecurity.
• Develop and implement proactive homelessness prevention strategies, including early intervention, mediation, financial assistance, and tenancy sustainment support.
• Assist clients in navigating housing systems, accessing support services, and understanding their rights and responsibilities as tenants.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to address barriers to housing stability, such as discrimination, landlord-tenant disputes, and access to affordable housing.
• Collaborate with local authorities, housing providers, support agencies, and community organizations to enhance service provision and coordinate holistic support for clients.
• Maintain accurate case records, document interventions, and outcomes, and prepare reports on service delivery and outcomes.
