We’re working with a well-established professional membership organisation to recruit a highly organised and proactive Examinations Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated assessments team at the heart of professional education, providing vital support to clinical and written exams for healthcare professionals.
As Examinations Assistant, you’ll support a wide range of administrative and coordination activities related to candidate onboarding, examiner training, results processing, and day-to-day communications. You’ll be the go-to for behind-the-scenes support on exam days, working closely with colleagues, IT teams, and examiners to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Provide admin support to the Head of Exams, including preparing agendas, minute taking, and meeting coordination.
Respond to emails and phone enquiries from candidates, panel members, and examiners within agreed timeframes.
Support onboarding and training sessions via Zoom and Microsoft Bookings, including IT coordination.
Assist with standardisation meetings, quality checks, data entry, and post-exam updates.
Deliver excellent service across the exam lifecycle-from candidate registration through to appeals and result notifications.
Essential:
Strong communication skills-both written and verbal.
High attention to detail and confident proof-reading.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Excellent customer service and ability to manage sensitive or complex information.
Experience working independently and collaboratively under pressure.
Reliable data entry and admin skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable:
Previous experience in an Examinations Assistant or similar education/admin role.
Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Bookings, or bespoke HR/education platforms.
Experience coordinating events, training sessions, or exam days.
Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person events.
