The ESOL Department at Waltham Forest is dedicated to empowering students to achieve their language learning goals and integrate into the community. We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants.

Key Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant in the ESOL Department, your duties will include:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging ESOL lessons.
  • Assisting students individually or in small groups to improve their English skills.
  • Preparing and organizing classroom materials.
  • Providing additional support to students with specific learning needs.
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A CELTA qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience in ESOL teaching or a related field.
  • An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
