Employee Relations Manager – Education Sector – Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire – £49,000

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join a leading education organisation going through a period of positive change.

Reporting into the Director of People you will be responsible for leading on all employee relations matters and for leading a small team. Your key accountabilities will include:-

  • Leading on formal employee relations casework, including complex disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance concerns
  • Managing all employee relations matters that are at ACAS early conciliation and/or employment tribunal stage
  • Managing and developing the production of legally compliant employment policies and procedures which reflect ACAS and sector best practice
  • Advising and supporting senior leaders and managers across the organisation on employee relations matters
  • Developing and delivering training to line managers
  • Monitoring and reporting on ER cases data
  • Leading or contributing to key HR projects as directed by the Director of People

You should be an experienced Employee Relations Manager or ER Specialist with a track record of managing complex employee relations matters and developing compliant policies and procedures. Experience of working for a complex organisation needs to be combined with a proven ability to manage change projects including restructures and Tupe. Ideally you will have managed a small team.
