Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Head of Architecture and others SMEs to review/ update the application landscape to cover Client services
  • Work with the Delivery Manager and Project Team to review/ develop the current project plans task and activities inc the development of the future phases.
  • Work with the Incident Manager and project team to develop Disaster Recovery runbook’s covering policies, procedures and standards for each DR plan.
  • Review the outcomes of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and aligning the Disaster Recovery framework, strategy and plans to support business needs
  • Set up and lead workshops on Disaster Recovery plans
  • Ensure the DR plans are in alignment with the BCP plan
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure Disaster Recovery plans are tested and documented appropriately.
    • Lead the development of the testing approaches and schedules
    • Lead the exercising and testing of recovery plans to ensure that recovery of applications meet the defined RTO/RPO objectives
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities to the organisation in its DR plans
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Disaster Recovery
  • Coach and Mentor Clients SME on Disaster Recovery Best Practice and industry standards

Key Outputs and Deliverables:

  • Develop the Application Landscape template for Client Core IT Architecture
  • Provide a template to development Runbooks and Playbooks for each critical service DR plan
  • Document key tasks and activities for the delivery of each DR plan
  • Develop a testing strategy and approach for each DR plan
  • Documented output for each of the DR testing exercises
  • Document the review of the BIA and the deliverability against DR plans
