New City College (NCC) is London’s second largest college, and the fourth largest college group in the UK, with over 20,000 students, a turnover of over £100m and campuses across Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Redbridge, Epping Forest and Havering. Since 2016, NCC has evolved through a series of four mergers with the intention to build a robust, resilient college that is rooted in its east London and south Essex communities and that ultimately ensures the best possible outcomes for its learners.

Whilst the college has increased in size and scale, it continues to retain its strong local identities and its campuses in each borough provide a strong choice of courses for their communities. The college is a diverse and talented organisation with a common belief in the power of the further education sector to transform lives.

New City College is looking to recruit a Campus Deputy Principal for its Epping Forest Campus. This is a fantastic time to join us as our new Deputy Principal of Epping Forest Campus, leading the campus to ensure a dynamic, successful and innovative college. The new post holder is an essential part of setting standards for the campus. They lead on the ethos, culture and student behaviour. The Deputy Principal ensures the campus is a safe and productive place for learning.

Deputy Principals drive up achievement and teaching and learning on each campus. They also work with the local communities to meet local need and foster positive relationships.

In addition to leadership of the Epping Forest Campus, the Deputy Principal will have a strategic group responsibility across the matrix.

If you would like to arrange an informal discussion with the Principal, please email Forida Begum, PA to Narzny Khan, Principal Epping & Redbridge Campuses on

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an ‘Enhanced’ DBS (formerly CRB) check, along with a Children’s Barred List check if in regulated activity. Any offers of appointment may be withdrawn if these checks prove to be unsatisfactory to the College. Self-disclosure will be required as part of the recruitment process. If you fail to make a full disclosure or provide sight of your DBS certificate then your offer of employment is likely to be withdrawn. The College’s DBS policy covers the recruitment of ex-offenders which is available upon request.

New City College aims to develop a workforce that reflects the diverse community we serve and actively welcome applications from candidates from a BAME background.

Closing date 16th June 2024

Interviews will take place on Friday 5th July 2024
