Deputy Finance Director

The successful candidate will have various responsibilities, including overseeing compliance with MAP’s financial and procurement policies, developing robust cash and treasury management policies, and managing financial accounting systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of annual statutory accounts, compliance with relevant accounting and legal requirements, and submission of necessary returns to regulatory bodies.

Your role will also involve managing relationships with MAP’s banks, monitoring cash flow, implementing financial controls, and managing payroll budgets. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for risk management, maintaining insurance policies, and contributing to the management of in-country finance colleagues.

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in finance leadership roles within charitable organizations and NGOs, including experience with UK charity finance practices and governance. Additionally, you should be committed to MAP’s mission and services and can work collaboratively with others.
