Are you passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and ready to step into a senior leadership role within a dynamic, specialist team?

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to support the delivery and development of a well-established Advocacy Service that provides specialist support to women and girls impacted by sexual violence, particularly those navigating the criminal justice system.

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational oversight of a front line team including Independent Sexual Violence Advocates (ISVAs) and Caseworkers. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager to ensure high-quality service delivery, lead on safeguarding, manage staff performance and development, and contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Advocacy Service Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations and strategic development.
  • Manage and support a team of ISVAs and Caseworkers, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed support is consistently provided.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Officer, escalating issues as required.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including data collection and impact assessment.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders across the criminal justice system and wider VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) sector.
  • Contribute to funding bids and reporting where required.

You will bring:

  • Experience working with survivors of sexual violence, including holding complex cases.
  • Proven ability to manage and support front line staff in delivering empowering and responsive support services.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system, safeguarding protocols, and feminist approaches to VAWG.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • ISVA accreditation
  • Fluency in an additional language

Why Join Us?

You’ll be joining a committed and compassionate team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of survivors. Our organisational culture is rooted in feminist principles, intersectionality, and a deep commitment to inclusion and survivor empowerment.

If you are an experienced front line advocate or team leader looking to progress your career in a supportive and specialist environment, we would love to hear from you.
