Data Engineer (Integration) – 23-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Are you a skilled Data Engineer with a passion for making a meaningful impact? We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading national charity dedicated to animal welfare, seeking a Data Engineer to support their data transformation journey.

The Role

As a Data Engineer, you will work with internal teams and external partners to design and deliver robust data integrations that enable real-time, event-driven solutions. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring timely, accurate data flow across platforms to support operational and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement event-driven architectures, including producers, consumers, brokers, and streaming platforms.
• Apply common event-driven design patterns such as Publish/Subscribe and Event Streaming.
• Ensure scalability, resilience, and real-time processing across distributed systems.
• Develop and optimise SQL-based data solutions.
• Build integrations using tools such as:
• Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
• Platform Events (Salesforce or equivalent)
• AWS SQS or similar messaging platforms
• Collaborate with third-party providers to deliver efficient data solutions that enhance cross-system integration.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• A strong background in data integration and automation
• Practical experience with real-time, event-driven data systems
• Hands-on experience with integration tools, ideally including Informatica CAI, Salesforce, and Snowflake
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
• A passion for using data to drive positive change in the world

This is a 23-month FTC, paying £56,500 per annum. Full time working, 1 day per week in their office in London. Benefits including – 26 days holiday rising annually, Perkbox, Life Assurance, Pension from 9% to 16%, BUPA Dental. Flexible Hybrid working of 1 day per week in their office in London.
