Are you a Benefits Assessment Officer looking for work in Warwickshire, England?
Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in Warwickshire, England, and is looking to recruit a Benefits Assessment Officer on a permanent basis.
As a Benefits Assessment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in assisting residents in the local community by determining whether they are eligible for Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support and/or Universal Credit.
The successful applicant will be able to work on a hybrid basis, having the option to work from home for up to three days a week, with a minimum of two days each week being worked in the office.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:
– Proficiently use the Civica Open Revenues processing system
– Assess all types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support/Reduction claims for all tenure types
– Process new claims and changes in circumstances
– Assess student claims, persons from abroad, and self-employed claims
– Deal with Universal Credit cases
– Assist with backlog clearance
– Keep up to date on legislation changes and operate any changes within Revenues and Benefits
– Organise and prioritise your own workload and help ensure the team is adequately covered at all times
– Liaise with external organisations including Landlords, Employers and the Department for Work and Pensions
– Advise claimants on Benefit entitlements and legislation changes
– Handle inbound customer queries
In return, the client is offering a salary from £25,119 to £27,334 per annum alongside 25 days annual leave entitlement exclusive of bank holidays.
