Assistant Director of Maths
Location: London
Salary: £53,579 – £59,417

Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working in partnership with a dynamic and forward-thinking FE College to recruit an Assistant Director of Maths.
Working closely with the Director of English & Maths and other senior leaders, you will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction and operational delivery of the Maths provision across all campuses. You will lead and inspire a team of teaching staff to deliver high-quality education that meets the needs of learners and reflects the college’s values and ambitions.

Main Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Maths:
* Support the leadership and management of Maths across all college sites
* Assist in the development and implementation of a high-quality curriculum that meets student needs and college priorities
* Lead and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of Maths provision and the achievement of performance targets
* Monitor and improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the department
* Work closely with the Director to ensure efficient use of staffing and physical resources
* Support curriculum planning and contribute to college-wide strategic development
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of student progress, outcomes and departmental performance
* Support staff development through appraisals, CPD and performance reviews
* Contribute to the implementation of the College’s quality improvement processes and continuous improvement culture

The Successful Assistant Director of Maths will have:
* A degree or relevant professional qualification in a related subject area
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Experience of teaching and leading in an educational setting
* Evidence of improving standards in teaching, learning and student outcomes
* Experience of curriculum delivery and staff coordination
* Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and current educational developments
* A commitment to Equality, Diversity, Safeguarding, and Prevent
