We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Language Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Spanish language instruction to students at a range of proficiency levels while fostering an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons.
- Teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills across beginner to advanced levels.
- Design and assess coursework, examinations, and other learning activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students’ academic development through tutorials and office hours.
- Integrate innovative teaching methods and educational technologies into the classroom.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and institutional events.
- Promote Spanish language and Hispanic cultures through extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Essential Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Spanish, Hispanic Studies, Applied Linguistics, Language Education, or a closely related field.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience teaching Spanish in higher education or an equivalent educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary language teaching methodologies.
- Ability to motivate and engage students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Teaching qualification or certification in language education.
- Experience using virtual learning environments and digital teaching tools.
- Experience developing curriculum and assessment materials.
- Research interests or publications relevant to Spanish language or Hispanic studies.
- Experience supervising student projects or dissertations.
