Service Delivery Manager – SC Cleared

We are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager to lead and manage the delivery of high-quality digital, technology, or operational services. You will be responsible for ensuring services meet user needs, are reliable, cost-effective, and continuously improved in line with Government Digital Service (GDS) and ITIL principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of one or more live services, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability targets are met.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for service performance, incidents, and escalations.

  • Monitor and report on service metrics, SLAs, and KPIs to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams (including developers, infrastructure engineers, and support staff) to resolve service issues and deliver enhancements.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to align service outcomes with departmental priorities and user needs.

  • Support service transition for new or changed services, ensuring readiness for live operation.

  • Manage supplier and contract performance where third parties contribute to service delivery.

  • Lead on incident and problem management processes, ensuring lessons are captured and acted upon.

  • Promote a culture of service excellence, user focus, and continuous improvement.


About You

You will have:

  • Proven experience managing live digital or technology services in a complex environment.

  • Strong understanding of service management frameworks such as ITIL or SIAM.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing suppliers.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • A commitment to user-centred service design and continuous improvement.

  • Experience working within or alongside the UK public sector or Civil Service.

  • Knowledge of GDS Service Standards, Agile delivery, and DevOps practices.

  • ITIL Foundation or higher-level certification.
