Senior Finance Officer

📍 Glasgow | Hybrid & Flexi-time | 21 hours per week

💰 £200-£300 per day | 3-month contract

The Opportunity

This is a part-time Senior Finance Officer role within a housing organisation, supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function.

You’ll work closely with the Director of Finance, taking ownership of core reporting, supporting year-end, and helping keep the finance team running effectively.

The role is largely requiring regular office attendance.

What you’ll be doing

• Prepare management accounts, budgets and forecasts
• Support year-end and statutory accounts
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Liaise with auditors and support audit processes
• Support financial reporting and decision-making
• Assist with day-to-day finance operations

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Experience in a finance or management accounting role
• Strong experience preparing management accounts and budgets
• Confident working in a hands-on, standalone environment
• Strong Excel and finance systems experience

Desirable

• Experience in housing, charity or public sector
• Exposure to year-end and audit processes
