Job Opportunity: SEND Teaching Assistant

On behalf of our client, a high-achieving and inclusive mainstream primary school, we are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a school that prides itself on fostering a lifelong love of learning and providing exceptional, tailored support for every pupil.

The Role In this position, you will be based within the school’s dedicated SEND unit, providing vital 1-1 support to children with complex needs. Your primary goal will be to remove barriers to learning, ensuring these pupils can fully engage with their education. You will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to implement personalised support strategies in a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, safe, and empowered to succeed.

About You Our client is looking for a professional who is as compassionate as they are proactive. You must have proven experience supporting children with complex needs within an educational setting. You understand the nuances of diverse learning profiles and possess the patience and dedication required to help pupils reach their unique potential.

• Essential Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience working 1-1 with children who have complex SEND.
  • A calm, collaborative, and resilient approach to managing challenging situations.
• Desirable:
  • Team Teach training is highly advantageous.

The Details

• Salary: £550 per week (inclusive of holiday pay).
