SEND Lecturer – Essex

Morgan Hunt is working with further education colleges in Essex seeking SEND Lecturers to support learners with additional needs.

If you have experience delivering inclusive, engaging lessons and supporting learners to develop their confidence and independence, we would love to hear from you.

Job type: Temporary

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to learners’ individual needs and abilities.

• Support learners with SEND, including autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.

• Adapt teaching methods and resources to encourage participation and progress.

• Monitor and record progress against individual targets and EHCP outcomes.

• Work closely with Learning Support Assistants and wider college teams.

• Help learners develop communication, independence and skills for adulthood.

• Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching learners with SEND, ideally within further education.

• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

• A learner-centred approach and an understanding of safeguarding.

• An Enhanced DBS covering the relevant workforce, ideally registered with the Update Service.
