Are you a passionate SEND Lecturer who loves helping learners reach their full potential?

We’re working with a fantastic education provider in Essex that is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with a range of additional needs within a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where students can flourish.
  • Adapt teaching resources and learning materials to maximise learner engagement and achievement.
  • Track progress, celebrate successes, and provide ongoing support and encouragement.
  • Work closely with learning support staff, therapists, and wider educational teams.
  • Contribute to learner reviews, target setting, and personalised learning plans.

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • A strong understanding of EHCPs and inclusive teaching approaches
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Bonus Points If You Have…

  • Experience within Further Education or Specialist Education settings
  • SEND-specific qualifications or additional training
  • Experience supporting learners with Autism, SEMH, Learning Difficulties, or Complex Needs
