SEND Catering & Hospitality Lecturer

We are currently working with a leading Further Education College to recruit an experienced SEND Catering & Hospitality Lecturer for a temporary assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer who is passionate about supporting learners with additional needs and can quickly establish positive relationships within an inclusive FE environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Catering & Hospitality sessions to SEND learners at Levels 1-2.

The successful candidate will need to be confident, patient and adaptable, with the ability to tailor their teaching to individual learner needs and create a calm, supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Catering & Hospitality lessons to SEND learners.

• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.

• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.

• Adapt teaching approaches to suit different abilities and learning needs.

• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Strong experience teaching Catering and/or Hospitality within Further Education.

• Proven experience working with SEND learners, ideally at Levels 1-2.

• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent.

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Relevant SEND/Additional Learning Needs training is highly desirable.

• Recent industry experience within Catering/Hospitality alongside teaching experience.

• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent preferred.

• A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach to teaching.
