Are you a Revenues Officer looking for work in Islington, North London, or remotely from home?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in Islington, North London, is looking to recruit a Revenues Officer to provide cover for permanent vacancies for at least six months.

This role is integral to the Revenues Team, focusing on the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates. You will provide high-quality professional advice and maintain high standards of customer care while adhering to relevant legislation and council policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage billing, collection and recovery processes for Council Tax and Business Rates.
• Make informed decisions regarding customer liabilities, exemptions, and discounts.
• Provide professional guidance and support to customers regarding Council Tax and Business Rates.
• Ensure timely processing of correspondence and inquiries.
• Participate in quality initiatives and team projects as directed.
• Monitor and manage payment arrangements effectively.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Revenues Officer with a focus on Council Tax and Business Rates Administration.
• Proficient in using the IWorld/Northgate NEC Revenues and Benefits processing system.
• Strong customer service skills, particularly in handling complex cases.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 year’s experience as a Revenues Officer.
• Experience in a public service environment dealing with Council Tax and Business Rates.
• Knowledge of local taxation regulations and processes.
