Job Title: Research Manager

Location: Canary Wharf, London (minimum 12 office days per quarter)

About the Role / Job Summary:

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is seeking a Research Manager to support the leadership and delivery of its research function. This role offers an opportunity to leverage research and data to inform strategic decision-making, enhance regulation, and shape the future of pharmacy. You will lead high-quality research projects, utilising both qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights. Proficiency in tools such as Excel and Power BI will be essential for analysing and presenting data that aligns with organisational priorities while upholding the highest standards of governance and ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver high-quality research projects.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to produce meaningful insights.
  • Develop research proposals and secure external funding.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with academic and external organisations.
  • Promote evidence-based decision-making across the GPhC.
  • Ensure research governance and ethical standards are maintained.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience managing research projects using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies, statistical analysis, governance, and ethics.
  • Successful track record in developing research proposals and securing funding.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments or knowledge of pharmacy or healthcare is beneficial.
  • Commitment to using research to drive evidence-based decisions.
