Are you passionate about construction and supporting people to succeed? A college in Northamptonshire is looking for an organised, motivating, and learner‑focused Progress Coach to support apprentices on their journey to becoming skilled construction professionals 🏗️.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with apprentices, helping them stay engaged, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential both on and off the job.

🧱 What You’ll Be Doing

As a Progress Coach, you’ll play a vital role in apprentice success by:

✅ Delivering 1:1 and group coaching to support motivation, progress, and achievement

✅ Creating SMART action plans linked to knowledge, skills, behaviours, attendance, and workplace engagement

✅ Monitoring progress, attendance, and engagement – intervening early where needed

✅ Supporting apprentices at risk of disengagement, low confidence, or withdrawal

✅ Delivering engaging personal development sessions focused on employability, well being, and life skills

✅ Working collaboratively with tutors, employers, careers teams, and student support services

✅ Acting as a key point of contact for pastoral, well being, and safeguarding concerns

👷 About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both industry expertise and people skills, including:

🔹 A Level 3 qualification in Carpentry or Bricklaying

🔹 Strong construction industry experience or experience supporting construction apprentices

🔹 Confidence delivering engaging, inclusive, classroom‑based sessions

🔹 Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships

🔹 A clear understanding of learner engagement, inclusion, safeguarding, and barriers to learning
