Your new company

Morgan Hunt is supporting the recruitment of a Programme Coordinator / Administrative Lead working in the education sector. This is a programme supporting teacher professional learning, building national networks and improving Computing Science education across Scotland.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a national education programme, helping its team deliver activities, resources and professional learning opportunities for teachers, schools and partners.

Your new role

You will provide programme coordination and operational support, ensuring activities are well planned, deadlines are met and stakeholders receive timely information and support.

Working closely with programme leaders and teacher secondees, you will coordinate a varied workload spanning administration, events, digital communications and online community support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining programme plans and tracking milestones, outputs and delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinating diaries, meetings, follow-up actions and programme logistics.
  • Organising national events, tutor sessions and engagement activities, including venues, registration, materials and attendance monitoring.
  • Acting as an administrative contact for schools, local authorities, universities and partner organisations.
  • Updating websites, social media, newsletters and mailing lists to promote resources, events and programme achievements.
  • Administering online member platforms, including registrations, access permissions, enquiries and resource publication.
  • Gathering engagement data, feedback and evidence to support evaluation and grant reporting.
  • Preparing reports, briefings and documentation, and improving administrative systems and processes.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven experience coordinating complex projects or programmes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, planning and tracking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to build effective working relationships.

Experience within education or the public sector, supporting large-scale events or professional learning programmes, would be advantageous. An understanding of schools, local authorities or national education systems would also be beneficial.

What you’ll get in return

  • A 3-4 days per week role supporting a programme with a clear educational purpose.
  • A varied remit combining programme coordination, events, communications and community administration.
  • The opportunity to work with teachers, schools, universities and partners across Scotland.
  • Scope to develop systems and processes that improve programme delivery and engagement.
  • £20-£24 per hour paid via umbrella company
  • Hybrid working, 1-2 days in the office per week
  • Contract until March 2027
