The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education College in Surrey seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Manager to lead and develop their Plumbing provision. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional from either an educational or industry background looking to take the next step into management within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Plumbing curriculum area, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment

• Support, coach, and performance manage a team of lecturers and assessors

• Drive student achievement, retention, and progression outcomes

• Ensure curriculum delivery aligns with industry standards and employer needs

• Manage resources, budgets, and workshop environments effectively

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers and stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong background in Plumbing (Level 3 or equivalent industry qualification)

• Previous experience in teaching, training, or assessing (FE experience desirable but not essential)

• Leadership or supervisory experience within education or industry

• A teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one

• Assessor/IQA qualifications (desirable)

• Passion for developing learners and supporting staff performance
