Plumbing Lecturer

Salary: £43,000 per annum

A well-regarded Further Education College is seeking a Plumbing Lecturer to join its growing Construction department. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced lecturer or a qualified plumbing professional looking to bring their industry expertise into the classroom.

You’ll play a key role in preparing learners for successful careers in the Building Services sector, delivering a blend of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based teaching across Plumbing programmes from Level 1 through to Level 3.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and training across Plumbing courses
• Support learners to develop industry-standard practical skills and technical knowledge
• Create engaging lesson plans and learning resources
• Assess learner work and monitor progress against targets
• Maintain workshop standards and promote safe working practices
• Contribute to learner recruitment, retention, and achievement

Essential Criteria:

• Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or equivalent
• Recent and relevant industry experience
• A genuine interest in helping learners achieve their potential

Desirable Criteria:

• Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake one
• Previous experience delivering training, apprenticeships, or classroom-based learning
• Assessor qualifications
