Motor Vehicle Lecturer

Location: Shoreham-by-Sea

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum
Start Date: September

We are currently recruiting for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer on behalf of a well-established Further Education College in Shoreham-by-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Motor Vehicle professional to inspire the next generation of technicians while delivering high-quality teaching across Levels 1, 2 and 3.

Whether you’re already teaching in Further Education or looking to transition from industry, this role offers the opportunity to share your knowledge, develop learner’s practical skills, and help them progress into successful careers within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Motor Vehicle lessons across Levels 1, 2 and 3.
• Prepare lesson plans, assess learner progress, and support students to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and industry-standard workshop environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, motivating learners to develop both their technical knowledge and employability skills.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and the wider success of the department.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle or a closely related subject.
• Relevant industry experience within the automotive sector.
• A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience delivering or supporting vocational education is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• A passion for developing the next generation of automotive professionals.
