Job Title: Media Lecturer

Location: Lancashire

Start date: 1st September

About the Role / Job Summary:

Further Education college in the Lancashire area is seeking a dedicated Media Lecturer with games design experience if possible to cover for a staff member currently on Long-Term Sick Leave. The role is essential in maintaining high educational standards and supporting the delivery of various media programs. The successful candidate will work across A Level, BTEC and T level Media

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver engaging teaching across A Level, BTEC, and T Level programmes.

· Teach A Level: 3D Design, BTEC: Media Practice, and T Level: Media Broadcast and Production.

· Utilize specialist skills in 3D Design, Maya, Adobe, Web Design, and HTML.

· Support students in their learning journey and assess their progress.

· Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery.

· Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development.

Qualifications:

· Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed).

· Experience in teaching media-related subjects.

· Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools.

Education Requirements:

· Degree in Media, Design, or a related field.

· Additional certifications in teaching or media production are advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

· Demonstrated experience in teaching at the Further Education level.

· Experience in designing and delivering engaging lessons.

· Familiarity with assessment methods and student evaluation.
