Maths Teachers – ESSEX

Full-time | Start September

Join a welcoming College team committed to helping 16-19-year-old learners build confidence and achieve key qualifications. You’ll teach GCSE Maths to learners with a range of needs in a supportive environment with excellent resources and strong pastoral backing.

Role highlights

  • Teach GCSE Maths to 16-19-year-olds
  • Adapt teaching for learners with challenging behaviour and SEN needs
  • Track progress, deliver targeted interventions, and contribute to a positive, safe learning culture
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, tutors, and parents/carers

Requirements

  • Proven experience teaching GCSE Maths (we are not seeking university-level lecturers)
  • Strong track record working with challenging behaviour and SEN learners
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
  • Motivated, resilient, and student-focused

Working hours

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-4:30pm
