Maths Lecturer – Further Education

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education college to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Lecturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Lecturer or qualified Maths Teacher looking to make a positive impact within the FE sector. You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to learners studying GCSE Maths, Functional Skills Maths, and other mathematics qualifications, helping students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals.

The Role

As a Maths Lecturer, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality teaching across GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths programmes.

• Planning and preparing engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Assessing student work and providing timely, constructive feedback.

• Monitoring learner progress and implementing strategies to improve learner achievement.

• Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Maths curriculum.

• Maintaining accurate learner records and meeting awarding body requirements.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS, QTS or QTLS.

• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

• Experience teaching GCSE Maths, Functional Skills Maths, or both within a Further Education or secondary education setting.

• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.

• A genuine passion for education and helping learners achieve their full potential.
