About the Role / Job Summary:

A reputable further education institution is seeking a Lecturer in Animal Studies to join their team. This role involves delivering both practical and theoretical lessons in animal studies to students, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and industry practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons in animal studies.
  • Design and update course materials to reflect current industry practices.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
  • Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners.
  • Ensure compliance with educational regulations and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Stay updated on advancements in animal studies and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Animal Studies or related field.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Studies or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching or training in further education.
  • Knowledge of current industry practices in animal studies.
  • Experience in developing course materials and assessments.
