Job Description

Job Title: FE Law Lecturer

Location: North Yorkshire

Hours: 30 hours per week

Duration: Ongoing

Start Date: ASAP

Salary/Rate: Competitive, with enhanced rates available to support candidates travelling or staying away

The Role

An excellent FE college in North Yorkshire is looking for an experienced Law Lecturer to join the team on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Law teaching to FE students, supporting learners with their academic development and preparing them for assessments and examinations.

The role would suit an experienced FE Law Lecturer, or a qualified teacher/lecturer with strong recent experience delivering Law within an FE or college environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Law lessons across relevant FE programmes
• Plan and prepare lessons in line with curriculum requirements
• Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback
• Support students with their academic progress and development
• Prepare learners for examinations and assessments
• Maintain accurate student records and assessment information
• Work effectively with colleagues within the department
• Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Law
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent
• Previous teaching experience, ideally within Further Education
• Experience delivering Law at Level 3/A Level/BTEC or equivalent
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred/required depending on college requirements
• Candidates must be able to commit to 30 hours per week

Additional Information

The role is based in North Yorkshire and may involve staying away from home during the week for candidates travelling from further afield. Enhanced rates can be considered to help accommodate travel, accommodation and associated costs.
