Interim Strategic HR Business Partner, 12 weeks – Local Government – South London – £450 per day (Umbrella)

Reporting into the Assistant Director HR Business Partnering and Employee Relations you will act as a strategic partner to designated directorate leadership teams, leading the development and delivery of workforce strategy and organisational change that supports service priorities and the Council’s corporate plan.

Your key responsibilities will include:-

• Providing strategic advice on organisational design, operating models and future workforce requirements
• Supporting services to plan and deliver worforce solutions
• Leading the strategic design and planning of restructures and service change
• Working in partnership with Employee Relations & Change Manager and the Employee Relations service to ensure effective delivery of consultation
• Working with senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability, management practice and organisational culture
• Working in partnership with the Organisational Development and Inclusion function to align leadership, culture and organisational development activity
• Using workforce data, insight and organisational intelligence to inform strategic decision making and workforce planning

You should be an experienced HR Business Partner with a track record of workforce planning and supporting organisational change in a large complex organisation, ideally within local government. A strong knowledge of employment law and experience of working with Trade Unions needs to be combined with experience of leading organisational restructures. Experience of using data and insights to inform strategic decision making is essential. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified.
