Are you a Revenues and Benefits Manager looking for work in Cambridgeshire on a hybrid basis?

Morgan Hunt’s Public Sector and Government client based in Cambridgeshire is looking to recruit an interim Revenues and Benefits Manager to lead the provision of an effective and efficient service for Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit and Fraud functions for the Council.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and offers hybrid working.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

– Proficiently use the IWorld/Northgate (NEC) Revenues and Benefits processing System.
– Deliver the day-to-day running of a Revenues and Benefits Service in all aspects of people, budget and performance management in line with relevant national and local policies and procedures.
– Deliver the strategic development of the Service to meet corporate and government priorities, objectives and best practice, including the delivery of new legislation and policies.
– Actively prevent issues for customers and take early intervention to avoid further escalation and demand on Council services. You will work with other teams and services to make this happen.
– Have accountability for budget management across the Service, including subsidy and government returns.
– Liaise with and represent the Council with a wide range of external stakeholders and bring this external perspective back into the team to help you improve service outcomes.
– Lead on appropriate or complex complaints, appeals and tribunals whist ensuring Officers within the team are able to deal with many of these themselves.
