Interim Head of MIS

The Role

This College is looking for an interim Head of MIS to join them on a contract basis

The interim professional will be responsible for the overall smooth running and responsibility of the department for this duration. As per normal in this role you would be looking after reporting, funding planning and data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the MIS team in strategic initiatives and daily operations.
• Ensure that all data requirements of funding organisations are met.
• Provide the Executive team and curriculum managers with accurate information and high-quality reports.
• Coordinate with other department heads to integrate MIS resources effectively.
• Ensure that curriculum managers receive accurate and timely management information.
• Contribute to the annual SAR process and Ofsted inspections.

The Person we are looking for

• Experienced of working within Further Education or Higher Education
• Experience in managing MIS teams and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic insights and reports
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of funding methodologies and reporting requirements.
• Advanced IT skills (e.g., SQL Server, report writing tools).
• Strong analytical and data presentation skills.
• Experience managing teams and providing leadership to MIS staff.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• Certifications in data management or IT systems are preferred.
